The Nasty Compunction Story

Summer 1998 what started out as a bit of fun became serious and over the next 28 years occupied a set of musician’s lives.                                                                                                Countless gigs, tours, even awards came their way, something unexpected for the genre they were in as a tribute band.

Even back in 98 there was always talk of doing an album of their own and it never quite getting off the ground.                                                                         .                                        In the winter of 2025 the band took a 3 month break from live work, unintentional but maybe well earned and needed.

It also gave a chance for the 20 plus songs that had been produced but never recorded or completed to be so.

Whittled down to 12, Nasty Compunction the Album is the result.                                              It is a fusion of reggae, rock, pop & classical styles.

It has not been produced with AI so the songs may not have a commercial feel or hit a commercial audience, there is enough music out there filling that demand. So no technical use of diminished chords, progressions or production tricks to create a certain pro sound, only as Bob Dylan said, “Three chords and the truth.”
